Nova Apart? - Staff –
We consider our employees as our greatest sustainable resource. We believe that the key to quality business is to have a smart
and competent staff behind our operations, so we strive to hire the most qualified individuals for each position. We emphasize
continued growth and development for all employees by providing training opportunities and encouraging continued education
efforts. We are proud to recognize that throughout our organization we have many individuals with Associate’s, Bachelor’s,
and Master’s degrees.
- System Design – All of our drafting
and design is conducted ‘in-house’ by our experienced design staff. Our staff includes several NICET certified
supervisors, and designers with various degrees in engineering and computer sciences. We utilize the latest CAD technologies
to deliver professional grade system designs.
- Project Management
– Our project managers work closely with our field labor and design staff to coordinate work progress effectively and
efficiently. Our superior track record shows that good project management leads to better collaboration and lower costs for
general contractors. We strive to maintain a strong force of project managers by encouraging continued education at all levels.
- Field Labor – Our field labor consists of skilled men and women
from Sprinkler Fitter’s Union Local 281. All of our installers receive comprehensive training through the Union, which
leads to the highest-caliber workmanship on our projects.
- Warehouse
Services – We strive for quality control and lower costs by maintaining pipe and materials pre-fabrication
‘in-house’ at our Schaumburg facility. Our warehouse staff utilizes ‘just-in-time’ manufacturing techniques,
which affords them the ability to modify fabrication schedules on the fly, so that all project concerns are accommodated daily.
The warehouse staff works closely with project designers to ensure that the correct materials are utilized for every project.
- Logistics – Most of our materials are delivered to jobsites
utilizing our own vehicle fleet and drivers. By keeping our material deliveries within the Nova confines, our Purchasing Department
has ultimate control of our delivery scheduling and logistics. Unlike many companies who rely on outside delivery services,
Nova has the capacity to react quickly to changes in construction scheduling, which in turn yields less problems for general
contractors onsite.
